Technology architecture, not a helpdesk with a logo
C4X Technology Architects: who we are, what we do, and why our approach to mid-market IT is different from a typical MSP.
C4X was founded in 2015 by a group of engineers who thought the standard managed service provider model had it backwards: clients dealing with account managers instead of the people who actually design and run their systems. We built C4X around direct engagement with solution architects from day one, and that structure is still how we operate.
Today C4X works with teams across Australia, Fiji, the Philippines, Malaysia, Moldova and Argentina, supporting clients from single-site operations through to organisations running hundreds of staff across multiple countries. As we move deeper into mid-market and multi-site engagements, and into acquiring stakes in other MSPs under our partner model, the underlying approach has not changed: technical depth first, sales layer second.
Vision
To be the technology partner mid-market Australian organisations turn to when the stakes are real, not just when something breaks.
Mission
Design and run infrastructure, security and automation that hold up under real operating conditions, and be straightforward about how and why we built it that way.
What we do
C4X delivers managed IT, cloud infrastructure, cyber security, modern device management, automation and disaster recovery for organisations across automotive, biomedical and healthcare, education, construction, real estate, hospitality, finance and professional services. We run our own AI infrastructure, including local LLM inference on owned hardware, and build agentic automation in-house rather than reselling a vendor add-on, which matters most for clients like schools and healthcare providers who need client data to stay inside infrastructure they control.
What makes us different
Most MSPs resell a vendor stack and call it a solution. C4X builds the pieces that vendor stacks do not cover: custom integrations between platforms that were never meant to talk to each other, purpose-built automation replacing manual processes, and infrastructure decisions made by the same people who will be on call when something goes wrong. Our Technical Notes page documents a few of these builds in detail.
We are also moving into MSP acquisitions ourselves, taking a majority stake in owner-operated MSPs while the existing team keeps running day to day. See Partner with C4X for how that works.
